Traditional Thai Massage

With its roots in Ayurvedic medicine, Thai Massage is a combination of deep stretching, reflexology, assisted yoga postures and Sen energy balancing. Sen energy lines are roughly equivalent to the meridians of acupuncture. The goal of Thai massage is to help the body regulate its own vital energy (called prana in Pali or qi in Chinese) through the manipulation of these lines. Known in Thailand as “lazy man’s yoga,” this ancient system of healing creates a dynamic release of stress and chronic tension, deepening the connection between body, mind and spirit. Performed comfortably clothed on a floor mat, Thai bodywork stretches muscles, loosens joints, tones internal organs and allows the client to experience a deep state of relaxation.

Thai Massage sessions are 90 minutes in length. Clients are asked not to eat a heavy meal less than two hours before treatment. Please wear loose comfortable clothing that will not restrict movement.

Please ask about other forms of East Asian bodywork also available at Windhorse.
